About the author and translator
Goektu Zanbaba (Jieun)
I was born in Ankara in 1981. While writing my university thesis, I traveled to many parts of the world that I could only imagine, prepared photography projects, and did research related to literature. In the meantime, I've written more than 20 books, including four novels, one short story, value education, and a career series. Zanbaba still travels all over the world, taking pictures, and continuing to explore.

I was born in Ineghol, Bursa in 1986. I majored in painting, and I made characters and background designs in various animation projects. Since 2009, I have drawn pictures in children's books and magazines, and I have also worked as an artistic director of children's magazines. Now I'm living in Istanbul and drawing.
What do you mean, Lee Nan?
He graduated from the Turkish Department of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, received a master's degree in Turkiye literature from the Turkiye National Istanbul University, and a doctorate in Turkiye literature from the Turkiye National Ankara University.
He is currently a professor of Turkish and Azerbaijani languages at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Books include Understanding Turkish Literature, Orhan Pamuk, Centered on the Border, Orhan Pamuk and the World of His Works (published in Turkiye), and Korean-Turkish, Turkish-Korean Conversation (published in Turkiye), and a number of papers related to Turkiye literature and culture. More than 40 Turkiye literary works, including the novel My Name is Red, were translated into Korean, and five Korean literary works, including Kim Young-ha's I Have the Right to Destroy Me, were translated into Turkish.
